Waterproof PVC doesn't soak up water or grime, so a swim doesn't leave you with a soggy collar. When the walk's over, wipe it down with a damp cloth. No soaking, no wash cycle.

In the creek
All the way under, leaves and all.
Wiped down
One pass with a cloth and it's dry.
Back on the bank
One good shake, and the collar is ready for the next lap.
Built to take a beating

A metal tactical buckle
Sturdy metal, not plastic, and quick to fasten and release at the trailhead.

An auto-locking frog clip
Aluminum, and it latches the moment you push it onto the D-ring. The gate locks on its own to help keep it closed on the move.

Cut and sewn in Moulton, Alabama
Every MudHound is sewn by our family-run team. We started at a kitchen table in 2003, and we still make every one ourselves.
The details that keep it going
Double-bar D-ring
A sturdy leash point that keeps the collar centered and stable.
Sewn-down edges
Every edge is stitched flat so it won't rub or scratch.
Box-tacked stitching
Extra stitching at every pressure point, built not to pull apart.
Holds its shape
Flexible but sturdy, so it won't stretch, fray, or crack.
Getting the fit right
Measure around your dog's neck where the collar sits, then pick the size whose range covers it.
- Measure your dog's neck with a soft tape, snug but not tight.
- Pick the size that covers that measurement.
- Fasten the buckle and adjust the slide until two fingers fit between the collar and your dog's neck.
- Clip the leash to the D-ring and check the fit again after a few walks.

Care and safety
- Clean: wipe with a damp cloth and let it air-dry before you put it away.
- Check: look over the strap and hardware before each outing, and replace gear that's chewed, cracked, or bent.
- Supervise: take the collar and leash off for unattended crate time and rough play so nothing snags.
- Walk only: not for tie-outs, climbing, or lifting.
Go get muddy.
