The lightweight weave is dense and tight enough to resist abrasion and edge fraying under regular use without adding bulk. It measures 1-1/2 inches wide, sews cleanly, holds a crease well, and feeds easily through 1-1/2 inch buckles, D-rings, and slides. Nylon holds up well to moisture, oils, and outdoor conditions, making it a dependable choice for field gear. Rolls are cut from continuous lengths. You may occasionally find a factory splice, which is normal for this kind of webbing and generally doesn’t affect performance.
Typical uses include backpack and shoulder straps, belts and belt blanks, cargo and gear tie-downs, pouch and harness components, and repairs or upgrades to Crye-pattern gear that need a true pattern match. This webbing is raw component material, not a finished safety product. Never use it for climbing, rescue, restraint, or other critical load-bearing applications. Keep working loads at or below 25% of the webbing’s rated tensile strength to allow for stitching, wear, and routine stress, and use appropriately rated hardware and sound construction methods.
