The material sits in the middle of the stiffness range: firmer than soft automotive-style webbing, so it holds its shape on your rig and underwater, yet more flexible than tank strap webbing, so it stays comfortable around your torso. Expect it to feel slightly stiff at first. Once it gets wet and sees regular use, it softens and conforms to you. The olive drab green color is solution-dyed, meaning the color is built into the nylon fiber itself rather than sitting on the surface. Because the color runs through each fiber, it holds up to seawater and sunlight far better than standard dyed webbing. Nylon construction handles constant moisture and salt exposure well, and tensile strength typically ranges from 2,800 to 4,250 lbs, depending on the weave.
